"2f" refers to Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, which is the statutory provision for the recognition of higher education institutions in India. Our college has been granted 2(f) recognition by the UGC on 30 th June 2025. This is the first condition required to obtain 12(b). Thiruthangal Nadar College has been included in the list of Colleges prepared under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 under the head ’Non-Government Colleges teaching up to Master's Degree'.
